Who cares? relocates reproductive labour within the visual language of construction work. Combining performance, sound, smell and installation, the project transforms an industrial scaffold into a temporary workplace where acts of maintenance, provision and mental load become visible.

Three performers activate the installation through overlapping cycles of repetitive tasks structured by a sound composition of alarms, timers, running water and other domestic interruptions. Rather than illustrating domesticity, the work stages care as continuous labour- repetitive, fragmented and constantly resumed.

Following the performance, the installation remains as its residue: a scaffold bearing the traces of labour that is never fully complete. Abandoned tasks and suspended gestures suggest work that has been interrupted rather than finished, pointing to a form of labour whose completion is always temporary because it must begin again.
